Meet Daniel Silva
Daniel Silva is a retired European Tour professional certified with a Class A PGA of Europe teaching course. Having spent more than 12 years on the professional circuit and 20 years of coaching players of all levels including, top Portuguese tour professionals, Daniel has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with his clients.
Born to Portuguese parents in South Africa, Daniel began playing golf at the age of 8. Daniel is a 3-time Junior National Champion and quickly, became a member of the South African junior national team. After moving to Portugal and a successful amateur career that included 2 Amateur National Championships, Daniel turned professional in 1988.
Until 2000, Daniel traveled worldwide competing on professional golf tours. This included 8 years on the European Tour which brought him two tour victories including, the 1992 Jersey Open. Daniel also competed and made the cut in the 1991 British Open at Royal Birkdale. During his career, Daniel twice represented Europe against Great Britain and Ireland in the St. Andrews Trophy competition, as well as, being a 5-time World Cup of Golf team member. In his home country of Portugal, Daniel is a 7-time National Professional Champion and was recently voted Portugal’s best ever player by the Portuguese Golf Federation.
