Itinerary At A Glance

20/09/2025: Meet at Grande Real Vila Italia (GRVI) at 6pm in the lobby. First night at GRVI.

21/09-Sun (Day 1): Start off the day with a late breakfast before 18 holes at Oitavos Dunes Golf Course. Non-playing companion (NPC) guided tour of Sintra & Cascais. Visit to Cabo da Roca, mainland Europe’s most westerly point. Dinner at “Mar Do Guincho,” a local fish restaurant. 2nd night at GRVI.

22/09-Mon (Day 2): Casual morning drive to Setubal (45mins), before a quick ferry ride crossing to Troia. 18 holes at Dunas golf course. Dinner in Canal Caveiro for “Cozido A Portuguesa,” a traditional meat dish. NPC: Beach day at Dunas or relaxation at Dunas Golf Resort. Drive to Algarve (2hrs). 1st night at Crown Plaza (CP).

23/09-Tues (Day 3): Free day full of beaches, golf, spa, or just relaxation. Dinner at “Don Alfonso” Restaurant on the Vilamoura Marina. 2nd night at the CP.

24/09-Wed (Day 4): Golf at Quinta do Lago South Course, the host of over twenty European Tour tournaments. Dinner at “O Jacinto” local seafood restaurant. NPC Explore Vilamoura & Quarteira. 3rd night at CP.

25/09-Thurs (Day 5): Golf at Monte Rei Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus design. NPC have a guided tour of the region. Rooftop dinner at “A Ver Tavira,” a Michelin star restaurant, next to the centuries old castle walls with spectacular views of the old city. 4th night at CP.

26/09-Fri (Day 6): Sight seeing trip to Sagres before dinner at “Rei dos Frangos” for Piri-Piri chicken. Free evening, 5th night at CP.

27/09-Sat (Day 7): Round at Victoria Golf Course, an Arnold Palmer design and Ernie Els re-design. NPC Exploring Algarve coastal caves and dolphin sightings. Dinner at “O Buzio” restaurant for famous “Cataplana” dishes, 6th night at CP.

28/09-Sun (Day 8): Golf at San Lorenzo golf course, for many years rated second highest course in Europe, just behind Valderrama. NPC companion, trip to Algarve forum shopping center, exploring Faro. Sunset dinner at “Julia’s” on the beach, famous for “Arroz de Marisco”. 7th night at CP.

29/09-Mon (Day 9): Drive to Fatima (3hrs). Sight seeing of Sanctuary. Lunch in “Batalha-Mosteiro Do Leitiao” for famous traditional “pork suckling” meal. Continue onto Porto (1h30m). Stay at Lince Santa Clara (LSC), a spectacular centuries old convent transformed into a 5 star hotel.

30/09-Tues (Day 10): Port wine manufactures tour, river cruise through the city of Porto. Lunch on the river “Douro” for “Bacalhão (cod fish)” prepared in numerous ways. Afternoon tour of Porto’s castles, famous Lelo book store, train station tiles etc. Second night at LSC.

1/10-Wed (Day 11): Play at Ponte De Lima GC, that was designed and constructed by Daniel Silva. NPC Morning off, meet for late lunch at the golf course for a traditional northern Portugal meal. Afternoon tour of Ponte De Lima and Viana Do Castelo. Third night at LSC.

2/10-Thurs (Day 12): 18 holes at Estela Golf Club, a links style course. NPC Tour of Guimarães, birth city of Portugal. Late lunch at “O Gosi,” a seaside restaurant. Drive to Lisbon (3 1/2hrs), first night at Myriad by Sana Hotel (MSH).

3/10-Fri (Day 13): Lisbon sight seeing day. Dinner in “Alfama” with Fado show, the oldest area of Lisbon with the narrow cobblestone streets. 2nd night MSH.

4/10-Sat (Day 14): Play at Aroeira Golf Resort. NPC Day off, evening soccer match or dinner at “Tacho Do Pescador” at ‘98 expo site at the “Parque Das Nações”. 3rd evening at MSH.

5/10-Sun (Day 15): Departures.
